HAPPY 50th

These pictures are from the March family birthday party... We celebrated Don's 50th birthday!! It was fun to decorate with balloons and make a special place for Don to read his card and enjoy the "Over the Hill" cane, signs and trinkets and a gift certificate... It was nice to honor Don and let him know that we are so glad to have him in our family.

Chris, Jamie, and Melissa were there as well, only Kara was absent (too busy planning her wedding which I will blog about later)

The big 50 balloon decided to break off and go on the ceiling. We found a long metal vacuum hose and a pole and Chad was able, after several tries, to get the balloon down so Don could take it home. Each unsuccessful time was met with moans, groans, or outright squeals as someone would try to get the balloon only to be thwarted. It was quite hilarious and right after we rescued the balloon Salagi came walking in with a ladder he borrowed from a person living next door to the church. Fun times.

Here is hoping that this 50th year brings much happiness for Don and his family. Love you guys!!!
